Scarce in the trade, published originally perhaps in 1861, having been delivered as two lectures, March 9th and March 23, 1860. Currently no copies available on-line of this treatise in this state and condition, which is translated into English from French as "Research on the Old Library of Corbie," a small village in the Somme Department of France. The author, Leopold Victor Delisle (24 October 1826, Valognes (Manche) – 21 July 1910, Chantilly, Oise), was, according to a Wikipedia entry about him, a French bibliophile and historian and who joined the l'Institut Imperial de France i 1866. Measures 10 1/4" 7 3/4" in height and width, respectively. Disbound from a larger volume having collected and reprinted original essays, hand-sewn, complete, first page present but detached, with slightly waffly text, rag paper is lightly foxed here and there, moderately toned, else clean and unmarked. French language text, with 266-341 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. . . . Very Good
